EJZ is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes two volumes per year (in June and December). EJZ publishes (in English language) original research papers, review articles, short communications, technical notes, and letters to the editor in all area of zoology including, but not limited to, evolution and development, systematics, ecology and toxicology, behaviour and adaptation, histology and ultrastructure, cell biology and genetics, nutrition and biochemistry, physiology, immunology and pathology, protozoology and parasitology, arthropods, fresh water and marine biology, herpetology, ornithology, and other related fields. Manuscripts on veterinary and primates (including humans) researches that promote health protection and management of the diseases are included in the journal’s scope. Purely taxonomic manuscripts are considered only if modern tools for classifications are used, and sufficient biological or biogeographic information is included. Manuscripts are not considered for publication in EJZ, if they do not have significant new findings of fundamental and general zoological interest, do not follow ethics for animal and human use, or contain poorly-characterized natural products.
