EJZ is the official journal of the Zoological Society of A. R. Egypt. It is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes two volumes per year (in June and December) since 1997; only one volume is missed (December, 2012) due to the force major events after the Egyptian revolution. EJZ launched in 1963 and continued irregularly as Proceedings of the Zoological Society A. R. Egypt (formerly name, ISSN: 1110-1350) till 1996. It is indexed in the ENSTINET, LIBRIS (LIBRIS-ID: 4117984), IUCAT, SUNCAT and Zoological Record. The archive of the journal, from volume 56 (June, 2011) to volume 70 (December, 2018), is available from http://platform.almanhal.com/Search/Result?q=egyptian%20Journal%20of%20Zoology. All articles from volume 71 (June, 2019) on wards can be accessed free of charge (open access*) for non-commercial use from http://ejz.journals.ekb.eg. EJZ publishes original research papers, review articles, short communications, technical notes, and letters to the editor in all aspects of descriptive, comparative, experimental and applied zoology. EJZ has a policy of screening for plagiarism. Therefore, whenever author paraphrases, summarizes, or takes sentences or words from another person's work, it is necessary to indicate the source of the information within the manuscript using an internal citation. *Open access journal, in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition, means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution.
