Abstract
The present study was designed to evaluate the virulence of the entomopathogenic nematodes Stinernemascapterisci and the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana, as well as their effects on total protein, α- and β-esterases and LDH in mole cricket Gryllotalpa africana (Orthopetera: Gryllotapidae). The results showed that combining these entomopathogenics with each other resulted in antagonismic effect compared to individual treatment. These pathogens significantly decreased the total protein content and the activity of α- and β-esterases, compared to the control in either individual or combined treatment. Whereas the activity of LDH was significantly increased as compared with the control due to these treatments.
